London - Nicki Minaj goes on a diet three days before a show. The 'Anaconda' hitmaker, who is known for curvaceous figure and pert

derrière, tries to stick to a strict eating plan a few days before she does a performance in the hope of losing a few pounds in time for the event.

Speaking to UsMagazine, she said: “I'm always hungry and I wish I could eat whenever I wanted. That's really the truth. Every time I'm about to do something, I try to diet for like three days before it.”

The 31-year-old singer, who has been in a relationship with her boyfriend Safaree Samuels for 10 years, recently admitted she likes the idea of men looking at sexy pictures of her while they “pleasure” themselves.

She said: “I never really think about dudes doing that I guess, but I mean hey, if I can cause somebody some pleasure and not even be there then why not.”

Meanwhile, the stunning star was left trying to retain her modesty at the MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) last night after she failed to complete her costume change and was forced to hold her little black dress together with her hands whilst she sang 'Bang Bang' alongside Ariana Grande and Jessie J.

The rapper explained that she “didn't have the time” for her costume change.

She tried switch outfits in between songs during her show-opening performance and it is said the accident wasn't unexpected.

A source told UsMagazine.com: “She could never get into that dress. During the dress rehearsal she did the number numerous times and could not make it into the dress zipped up even once.

“I've no idea why she didn't just decide to wear something else. She just didn't have the time to change from one outfit into another, there was no way.”

Nicki commented on the malfunction and admitted it was an “amazing” experience to help open the annual bash.

She said: “It felt amazing to open the show. We ran out of time getting the dress zipped up.”

She also referred to the incident on Instagram and seemingly shrugged it off, admitting it could have been worse.

She wrote: “God is good. As long as a nipple didn't come out to play, I'm fine.” - BANG Showbiz
