FORGET Valentine’s Day. The only thing on the minds of electronic music lovers is Ultra South Africa which just so happens to fall on the weekend dedicated to love. But who says it can’t be for the love of music?
Ultra South Africa, a major electronic festival, has partygoers amped. The event, which celebrates its 15th anniversary this year, boasts eight of the world’s hottest DJs including Tiesto ( pictured right), Afrojack ( pictured below), Alesso, Nicky Romero, Krewella, W&W, Martin Garrix and Blasterjaxx.
The local line-up is insane, with Goldfish, Pascal and Pearce, Crazy White Boy, Mi Casa and others, undoubtedly making it a night you won’t forget.
It goes down on Friday at Ostrich Farm in Cape Town where it will feature Goldfish, Coco Loco, Lady M, Floyd Lavine, Chris Jack, Niskerone, Grimehouse and more.
Then, it’s Joburg’s turn at the Expo Centre in Nasrec. Dance fanatics can expect to be blown away by the sounds of, among others, Black Coffee, Harael Salkow, Haezer and Mark Stent.
And there will be three stages at each venue. It’s the much-anticipated event of the year so be sure not to miss this one.
