CALLING all Ben 10 fans! Fancy yourself a Ben 10 follower of note? Think you could easily answer questions like, what is Ben 10’s full name? Okay, so that’s an easy one.

What about when exactly did the Omnitrix evolve into the Ultimatrix? Or what about someone like Vilgax from way back when – did he have “real” powers, or is his size and strength a freak accident?

Well, if you think you’d breeze through similar questions, you might want to tune into Cartoon Network on Fridays for the Ben 10 Ultimate Challenge– a game show/ challenge that will see ardent Ben 10 followers battle it out for the title of “Ultimate Fan”.

It was six years ago that young audiences were first introduced to Master Benjamin Tennyson (famously known as Ben 10) – a mostly smug and immature boy, but with a lot of heart and of loyal character.

Today the highly popular Ben 10 TV series has evolved into a mass franchise including films, video games, retail merchandise and now the Ben 10 Ultimate Challenge.

This weekend saw the launch of the challenge which is the next in the evolution of Ben 10, the boy (now a teenager) who acquired a watch-like alien device which allows him to turn into an alien creature, in the battle against good and evil, of course.

With three series under the Ben 10 banner – Ben 10, Ben 10: Alien Force and Ben 10: Ultimate Alien– the Ben 10 Ultimate Challenge is set to be vital viewing for anyone want-ing to earn the title of Ultimate Fan.

All content in the game show is inspired by the three aforementioned animation series. The show takes on a format that sees young-sters tasked with Ben 10 general knowledge rounds, as well as physical and mental agility tests and an ambitious assault course.

The Ben 10-themed set is located in a 743m2 London studio.

The series’ executive producer is Daniel Marlowe ( Big Brother) and it is produced by Mandy Morris ( Dating in the Dark, My Camp Rock and Safari Eight).

Michael Carrington, the chief content officer for Turner Broadcasting, said: “We are thrilled that Ben 10 has reached a point where it merits its own spin-off show based on the popular and much-loved series.

“The show will be a fantastic way for Ben 10 fans to pit their knowledge about their favourite hero against each other.”

Watch the Ultimate Challenge for the next step in the Ben 10 evolution with live action, fun, heart and brain power, promising to make for adrenalin-packed entertainment.

The Ben 10 Ultimate Challenge airs on Cartoon Network (DSTV Channel 301) on Friday at 6.55pm with repeats on Saturdays at 12.35pm and Wednesdays at 7am.
