Rihanna may have stolen the show with a sexy performance on Saturday Night Live, but the producers were not impressed with the superstar.
According to the Daily Mail, SNL boss Lorne Michaels wasn’t very happy after Rihanna refused to rehearse her appearance on the show. Many fans were left wondering why the singer didn’t appear with the cast of the comedy show, unlike many of the celebrities who have guest-starred before her.
Sources on set claim that Rihanna took ill on the day of the highly-anticipated episode and could not take part in the practice run, which usually occurs before a live studio audience. A doctor was called to her dressing room and administered a shot of penicillin.
A Rihanna representative explained: “Rihanna was sick and needed to save her voice for the live show”.
Insiders on the SNL set, however, say Rihanna appeared to be fine earlier in the day. While no-one is willing to openly question the truth behind her illness, the incident is being seen as “diva behaviour”. - IOL
