l Death of a Colonialist runs until March 1 at the Baxter Golden Arrow Studio. Winner of three Naledi Awards, the play tells the story of Harold Smith, an ageing, eccentric, unpredictable but extremely passionate history teacher at a high school in Grahamstown. R100 to R140 at Computicket.

l Kingdom of Earth runs until February 22 at The Baxter Theatre. l Cape Town Opera start their season when African Angels runs tomorrow at the Artscape Theatre. After a successful 33-city tour of the Netherlands and Belgium, African Angels returns home with a fantastic programme of moving and uplifting African songs mixed with American gospel and opera classics. l Cape Town Philharmonic Youth showcase on Saturday at the Baxter Theatre. l An Audience with Miss Hobhouse ends Saturday at The Alexander Theatre. Director Christopher Weare’s production of Tony Jackman’s one-hander with Lynita Crofford in her Fleur du Cap Award-nominated role as Emily Hobhouse, whose efforts to make the British establishment grasp the injustices of their concentration camps during the Anglo-Boer War ring familiar alarm bells today.
