VARIOUS VENUES: Catch Double Take from this week. VARIOUS VENUES: Kambakht Ishq is back by public demand for one show only in Pietermaritzburg and for one weekend only in Durban. This rollicking comedy dance showcase will stage at the Golden Horse Casino in Pmb on Saturday and at the iZulu Theatre at Sibaya Casino on August 31 and September 1. Conceived, produced and choreo- graphed by the Melanie Kisten, Kambakht Ishq (loosely translated as “damn love”) tells the story of love, infidelity and reconciliation as lived by a host of Chatsworth characters: two friends who aren’t good for each other; a wife who nags; a husband who drinks; a girl who is lost and a detective who is found. THE RHUMBELOW THEATRE: The Family Players present Yours, Mine and Ours this weekend. THE HERITAGE THEATRE: Burlesque ends on Sunday. A “cheeky, sultry, sizzling” extravaganza of song and dance centred on characters who work together, live together, love together, and sometimes even sleep together. THE BARNYARD THEATRE: The nation is again feeling proud after our sporting stars’ medal tally at the Olympics, and now The Barnyard is celebrating our musical heroes with Special Stars from tonight until October 7. THE PLAYHOUSE: The hit Broadway production Burn the Floor runs from tomorrow to September 2. The show has toured 30 countries and more than 160 cities. The company boasts performers from 10 countries, with more than 100 championship dance titles between them.
