THE HERITAGE THEATRE: Burlesque! runs until August 26. A “cheeky, sultry, sizzling” extravaganza of song and dance centred on timeless characters who work together, live together, love together and even sometimes sleep together. Stars Marion Loudon, Gary McKenzie, Lauren Laing and Liesl Coppin. This show is rated PG13. Promotional specials from today to Thursday when a limited number of tickets for a meal and the show are available on a buy-one-get-one-free basis. Normal ticket prices: R195 Wednesday to Saturdays, and R165 Tuesday evenings and Sunday matinee. All prices include a two-course meal. The show only option is R100.

THE BARNYARD THEATRE: Icons Of The ‘80s runs until August 19. From the decade in which Michael Jackson launched his Thriller album; Madonna performed Papa Don’t Preach on MTV; Cyndi Lauper knew Girls Just Wanna Have Fun; The Eurythmics wanted Sweet Dreams and more. ELIZABETH SNEDDON THEATRE: Andre the Hilarious Hypnotist returns to Durban after five years’ absence. The run also commemorates his 20th year on stage. Catch all the hypnotic craziness until August 26. Shows run Tuesday to Saturday at 7.30pm and Sundays at 3pm. R85 at Computicket.

THE PLAYHOUSE: The hit Broadway production Burn the Floor has a two-week season from August 22 to September 2. Ballroom dancing has been around for years, but Burn the Floor is anything but old-school, labelling itself as “Ballroom. Reinvented”. R200 at Computicket or call 031 369 9555, 031 369 9596/9540. A special “two for the price of one” is available for Talk Back Tuesdays, when the dancers stay on stage after the show for a Q&A session.

VARIOUS VENUES: Dingalings Productions bring their show Bust(s) back by popular demand – this month. If you missed their off-the-wall antics this is your chance to catch them when in Tongaat and at Suncoast Casino. The adult comedy takes you down memory lane.
