Leading South African contemporary dance company under the directorship of award-winning artist PJ Sabbagha is looking to audition seven full-time salaried internship positions for the 2013 year. Artists with at least three years’ tertiary level training in contemporary dance-related subjects or equivalent work experience may apply. The auditions will be on Monday from 10am to 5pm in the Rehearsal Room, B Con Cowan building, University of Johannesburg Bunting Road campus. You will be expected to complete a full technique class, learn repertoire, participate in an inprov workshop; perform a one-minute solo you have pre-prepared; complete an interview and bring a full CV to the audition. Auditions

BTE VO1SS (The Black Tie Ensemble) has open auditions for all voice types on Friday at the South African State Theatre, Pretoria, from 10am to 4pm. It will be for positions: 2013 BTE VO1SS artists, members of the BTE VO1SS academy and members of the BTE VO1SS opera chorus.

Potential artists/trainee or chorus members must have matriculated, must prepare one aria or song and bring the sheet music with them in order for the provided accompanist to accompany on piano. BTE VO1SS vacancy for accompanist/repetiteur /coach to accompany singers on piano/ keyboard, be a repetiteur for opera products, coach singers in opera, operetta,musicals and light classical songs.The position entails working with young vocal students and in close relation with the artistic director and music manager. The position is full-time, fixed-term appointment, based at the State Theatre.
