The SA State Theatre is offering South African theatre practitioners the opportunity to stage their work at two of its theatre spaces, the Momentum theatre and the Intimate theatre, for the period July to March 2015, under the banner of its independent theatre programme STIPP (The State Theatre Independent Productions Programme). STIPP offers a platform to independent theatre practitioners where they can stage their productions at the State Theatre with no venue charges and receive technical support including the usage of State Theatre resources like décor, costume, marketing and a fee of R25 000 for each production. The NEA Young Artist Competition is a separate competition from the NEA Young Performer Awards Competition, providing specifically for the performing arts genres.
