Auditions for Parts in Brussles. Parts (Performing Arts Research and Training School) in Brussels will hold auditions for a scholarship in Joburg on April 6, at the Dance Space, Newtown. Auditions will run from 9am and include a ballet class, a contemporary class and a chance for students to show their own work (one minute only). Results will be announced after the process. It presents the chance for a more streamlined festival experience, from May 15 to 18. It will also facilitate a workshop platform which gives participants the chance to host or attend workshops and classes at weekends. British Council call out for playwrights. New writing opportunity with international theatre, Royal Court. Applications deadline is April 14. There are 12 places for emerging playwrights who can show evidence of a record of writing plays. The applications will be assessed by a panel consisting of representatives of the British Council, Royal Court and South African theatre professionals. Royal Court will travel to South Africa to host the workshop in Magaliesberg from July 6 to 14, to support each playwright in writing a new play.
