A routine check audit of a number of Media24 magazine titles has revealed "certain discrepancies", the Audit Bureau of Circulation (ABC) said on Friday.
ABC had asked Media24 to restate the circulation data of those titles, said ABC general manager Charles Beiles.
"The extent of these discrepancies has yet to be determined, and thus it would be irresponsible and potentially misleading to put forward any view on the extent thereof," he said in a statement.
"The matter has not yet been considered by the ABC Board of directors."
Beiles said an urgent meeting had been called.
"The ABC Board remains resolute in its commitment to all stakeholders to uphold the integrity of the currency, and to deliver transparency you can see," he said.
