A meeting between the South African Sports Confederation and Olympic Committee (Sascoc) and Athletics South Africa (ASA) members has adjourned for lunch on Saturday afternoon with no interim board yet in place for the embattled federation.
Sascoc board member Ray Mali, took over ASA's administration on Monday after the federation's entire board were suspended for their handling of the Caster Semenya gender fiasco.
Suspended ASA president Leonard Chuene and his board, along with senior members of ASA staff, face disciplinary hearings, but Sascoc and the federation's members were struggling to put together an interim board in a meeting that was expected to adjourn shortly after noon.
