Kaizer Chiefs coach Vladimir Vermezovic has had a change of heart as regards Amakhosi's Absa Premiership hopes.
Last Wednesday it was all doom and gloom after Chiefs were outgunned 2-0 by champions and Premiership leaders SuperSport United at Loftus. Vermezovic then said the 11 point gap between the two sides was a bridge too far to cross at that stage.

Amakhosi are now nine points adrift and the feelings in the Chiefs camp is they could become challengers if they can keep reproducing the form they showed in the second half against the Students, scoring three goals without reply after one of the poorest first 45 minutes seen this season.
Explained Vermezovic: "The reason the first half was so bad was because of the hot, humid weather.
"It is difficult for players to produce in this stifling heat. Also the fact we are playing a match every three days is taking its toll on every club.
"The reason is South African players are not used to this type of situation.
'it is the price we are willing to pay to give Bafana Bafana time to prepare' "In Europe small boys play every three days or so as they grow up, so they are used to this type of pressure.
"SA players are not used to it. But it is the price we are willing to pay to give Bafana Bafana time to prepare for the World Cup."
The PSL clubs face another six games in the next three weeks and then get a month break in January before finishing the remaining four league fixtures in February.
This will allow Bafana head coach Carlos Albero Parreira, to have three months to prepare his squad ahead of the June 11 showpiece.
