Oslo - A pair of well-aimed slippers proved to be sufficient to scare off an aggressive moose east of the Norwegian capital Oslo, reports said on Monday.
While Ivar Smedstad was preparing breakfast over the weekend when he heard strange noises outside his cabin near Kongsvinger, east of Oslo.
When he looked out, he saw an agitated male moose poised to charge his leonberger dog Shiba.
Smedstad raced out to try to scare off the animal known as "the king of the forest."
However, the moose did not budge and continued to thrash the ground, ignoring Smedstad's shouts.
Finally, Smedstad took off his worn slippers and threw them at the moose. One hit the animal in the forehead, and it loped away.
