A scuffle broke out outside the Tembisa Magistrate's Court on Tuesday after the police officer accused of shooting dead a three-year-old boy was granted bail.

A man believed to be the officer's relative on Tuesday tried to punch a cameraman filming him while he spoke to Constable Seila Malaka's attorney.

The e.tv cameraman tried to hit back while holding the rolling camera with another hand.

The man was restrained by his companion, who walked away with him.

The media, who couldn't get into a courtroom, which was packed to capacity, had been waiting for Malaka to walk out after he had paid his R1 000 bail.
