Ankara - A Turkish man died after preferring to finish a board game he was playing with friends before going to hospital after being stung by a bee.

Harun Cetinkaya, 39, knew he was allergic to bee stings but continued playing the Turkish game "Okey" at a coffee house in the town of Doganhisar near the central Anatolian city of Konya until his condition grew so bad that his friends took him to a local hospital.

The father of four was pronounced dead upon arrival.

"If only he had come earlier," a hospital official told the Anadolu news agency. - Sapa-DPA
