Mamelodi Sundowns will be hoping for a change of fortune if they want to progress to the group stages of the Caf Confederations Cup when they meet Haras El -Hodoud in the second leg of the fourth round in Alexandria Egypt on Saturday 8pm. Sundowns, who have a 1-0 advantage, will be jetting out to Egypt on Wednesday.
The Brazilians have not had the best of luck in this competition. Last season, Downs were eliminated before the group stages of the Champions League by Al Hilal where they dropped into the Confederations Cup.
Downs suffered yet another setback yesterday with skipper Michael Manzini in a battle to be fit for this encounter. Manzini is suffering from a back injury.

This setback comes after midfield Fanyana Dhladhla was also ruled out of the clash after receiving a suspension for collecting one yellow card too many. Further bad news for Downs is that goalkeeper Calvin Marlin, who missed the first leg, will also miss the second leg as he is not yet recovered from a leg injury.
Meanwhile, Platinum Stars who drew 2-2 with CS Sfaxien of Tunisia in the first leg of the Confederations Cup at Olympia Park will need to score twice and not concede to qualify for the group stages. Stars play the second leg on Saturday 7pm in Tunisia.Stars team manager Thiery Mulondzo said that their chances of qualifying are slim after they allowed Sfaxien to score at home.
