Over the weekend, Cape Town football found very little joy when coming up against the might of Soweto.
Kaizer Chiefs edged Santos 1-0, albeit under controversial circumstances, and Orlando Pirates hammered Ajax Cape Town 3-0.
On Wednesday it will be he Mother City against the Free State - and the two Cape PSL clubs are looking to bounce back from their Soweto disappointments.
With football venues still a problem in the city, Ajax will play Free State Stars in a PSL fixture at the Boland Rugby Stadium in Wellington (kick-off 3.30pm), while Santos take on Bloemfontein Celtic at the Seisa Ramabodu Stadium in Bloemfontein (kick-off 7.30pm).

Despite losing over the weekend, both Cape sides are still highly placed on the PSL log, with Ajax in second on 28 points (five behind leaders SuperSport United) and Santos in third spot, on 27 points.
But if they wish to remain among the title challengers, they will have get back on the winning track on Wednesday.
The two Free State teams have been inconsistent and unpredictable this season but they are always competitive and difficult opponents.
Making things even tougher for Ajax when they play Stars tomorrow will be the fact that the opposition's new coach is Gordon Igesund, a former Ajax mentor.
Many of the current Ajax squad were given their PSL break by Igesund when he was at the helm of the Cape club.
Igesund will have insight into their strengths and weaknesses and will be able to plan accordingly.
Ajax are now under the tutelage of Dutch coach Foppe de Haan, who after two games in charge has experienced the ecstasy of victory (a 1-0 away win over Mpumalanga Black Aces) and the anguish of disappointment (the 3-0 defeat to Pirates).
Despite the heavy loss to Pirates, De Haan was nevertheless upbeat.
