London - A team of International Olympic Committee inspectors begin a three-day visit to London on Tuesday to assess preparations for the 2012 Games.
London 2012 organisers are optimistic the IOC's co-ordination commission will be impressed by visual evidence of the progress made on a tour of the Olympic Park.
Olympic Delivery Authority chairman John Armitt said: "Construction has now started on all of the Olympic Park's 'Big Five' venues and it is clearly visible how much progress has been made on the site since the IOC co-ordination commission's previous visit in 2008.
"The Olympic Stadium has changed the east London skyline, the Aquatics Centre roof is starting to take shape and the first residential blocks for the Olympic Village are out of the ground.
