2.12pm: Good afternoon from the Wanderers, the home of cricket in South Africa, except if you are the national team and don't get to play a game in the ICC Champions Trophy here. Pakistan have won the toss and have opted to bat on a pitch I will not even attempt to take a guess as to what will happen. It's been good for seam up front and then was okay later on. There is nothing like the Bullring for atmosphere.
2.30pm Here we go. Kyle Mills opens the bowling to Kamran Akmal, and he's lifted, unconvincingly, over cover for the first boundary of the match. I'd like to revise my early non-committal appraisal of this track - it looks like a belter.

5th over update: Pakistan 16/0. Akmal 6, Nazir 4 Hmmmm, perhaps I was wrong about the wicket being a belter. Bond, Shane Bond quite likes it. His figures are 0-0-7... Okay, so they're not, but he has only coughed up six runs from three overs.
Wicket. Nazir c Taylor b Bond 28 (40b 6x4 0x6) Pakistan 46/1. Overs 9.4 Just as I was about to change my mind about the nature of the track, Bond bowls a snorter to Nazir that he does well to stop him hitting him in the chest, the ball looping off the bat to Taylor. At the end of the 10th over, Bond has conceded just 11 runs. Good thing they allowed him back in after that little flirtation with the ICL.
