 Mediation continues between CSA, GCB

Mediation between Cricket South Africa (CSA) and the Gauteng Cricket Board (GCB) will continue into the next week.

A brief statement, released to the media on Saturday night, the mediators, Brian Currin and Khabo Mamba stated that mediation had been in process for the past three days.

"Both Cricket South Africa and the Gauteng Cricket Board have given us their full cooperation. The participation of both parties has at all times been constructive and in good faith.

"As a result the parties have managed to find common ground in certain areas. The process will continue into next week and we are hopeful that further progress will be made."

The dispute between the two bodies, which concerns contracts and stadium rights for the Indian Premier League (IPL) which was held in South Africa in April, has resulted in CSA moving three matches from the England tour of South Africa to other venues, and giving Supersport Park in Centurion the lion's share of the matches in the forthcoming ICC Champions Trophy. - Sapa
