President Jacob Zuma has finally declared his financial interests.

He has submitted a list of "gifts, benefits or financial interests held by him or any family member" to the Secretary of Cabinet, his attorney Michael Hulley said on Wednesday.

In a statement posted on the Presidency website at 3pm, Hulley said the declaration had been made in terms of the Executive Ethics Code.

The Executive Members' Ethics Code requires every cabinet member - including the President - to declare their financial interests, assets and liabilities within 60 days of assuming office.
