Two mouthwatering PSL clashes in Pretoria headline Wednesday's PSL action when defending champions and log leaders SuperSport United face Kaizer Chiefs at Loftus Versfeld, and Mamelodi Sundowns take on Orlando Pirates in Atteridgeville.
SuperSport are five points clear at the top of the PSL standings with 33 points, followed by the two Cape clubs, Ajax Cape Town (28 points) and Santos (27 points).
Pirates have closed in to fourth spot on table, also on 27 points, after which come Sundowns and Chiefs, each on 25 points.
It makes Wedensday's PSL fixtures really crucial.

"Both games are big," said Sundowns captain Esrom Nyandoro, who will lead his fifth-placed side against third-placed Pirates.
"I know at the other side of town Chiefs would want to avenge for what SuperSport did to them, but my concern is for my own team. I want Sundowns to do well," he said.
The Zimbabwean international said he expects his South African team mates to put on a great performance to get Sundowns the maximum points. Nyandoro believes hankering for a place in Bafana Bafana's World Cup squad would inspire his team mates to give extra effort and dethrone Pirates.
"When playing Pirates, I don't think you need anyone to motivate you. With the Bafana coach around, I am expecting players, especially South Africans, to do well tomorrow."
With both teams fresh from garnering maximum points, an explosive affair can be expected as the league has entered its second phase. Nyandoro said this is a championship-making round and that the Brazilians can't afford to slip up.
