East London - Flanker and captain Gareth Krause is back for the Border Bulldogs for Saturday's First Division rugby match against Eastern Province in the Sisa Dukashe Stadium in Mdantsane, East London.

Krause missed last weekend's first Currie Cup win of the season against the Valke at Kempton Park owing to injury.

The Bulldogs eventually played to their potential when they beat bottom-of-the-log East Randers 48-31.

With Krause back in the side, Dumisani Meslane moves to the bench.

Border coach David Maidza said his team will be out to bury their mistakes of the past and to play positive, running rugby.

"Right now we are trying to improve our own game plan. That is our main focus - and not to concentrate on our opponents."

He said the Bulldogs have the advantage of a home match this time, but EP have the advantage of experienced campaigners such as centre De Wet Barry.
