The SABC is going to the High Court in Johannesburg on Monday over the awarding of a tender for outside broadcast vans.
Spokesman Kaizer Kganyago confirmed the case was going ahead, but did not want to violate sub judice rules by discussing it.
The Star reported that the broadcaster would be in court over a tender dispute that related to buying outside broadcast vans from either Sony or Digital Horizons.
The broadcaster reportedly said at a previous court appearance that it needed the units for next year's World Cup.
Fifa's broadcasting agent was expected to tell the court it did not need the units and there was no contract with the SABC. - Sapa
