 Casino murderer awaits sentence

A Chinese man found guilty of a 2007 murder at the Emperor's Palace casino will be sentenced on Friday in the High Court in Johannesburg.

Chaung Li, 38, has been convicted of shooting a man dead in the gambling area of the casino in a dispute over money on December 21, 2007,

Captain Jethro Mtshali said Li had also been found guilty of possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition.

He appeared briefly in court on Monday when the case was postponed for sentencing. - Sapa
