Two teenagers and a man were caught stealing computers from a school in Botlokwa, outside Polokwane, on Wednesday, said Limpopo police.

Police received a tip-off about a burglary at the Motlalagohle High School and confronted the trio, said Superintendent Mohale Ramatseba.

"One suspect was arrested at the scene and the other two fled. Police gave chase and one tried to attack a police official with an axe.

"The suspect was shot in the hip and has been admitted to hospital under police guard," he said.

Ramatseba said the third suspect was found hiding in a house in the area.

Police later recovered 12 computers stolen from the Rambo High School, also in Botlokwa, last week.
