Five suspected robbers had less than a week to enjoy their new found riches, before members of the Mamelodi trio task team caught them after the robbery of a liquor store.

According to police Captain Johannes Maheso, it is also possible that the suspects may be linked to several other house and business robberies in the Pretoria and Mamelodi area.

He said five armed men entered a liquor outlet in Mamelodi West last Tuesday, holding up the people inside.

They helped themselves to cash, jewellery and airtime vouchers. - Staff Reporter
