Its official: the Titans are the 2008/09 SuperSport Champions, their second trophy of the season; they also annexed the MTN Domestic Championship.

The Titans went into the SuperSport match against the Highveld Lions with one hand on the trophy, 18.46 points ahead of their nearest challengers the Diamond Eagles.

However, there was a mathematical possibility that the Eagles could still catch them, though highly improbable. The Eagles had to garner a full house of points and the Titans fail to acquire less than three.

The Titans could only manage a single bowling point in their match, but when the news filtered through that the Eagles had been dismissed by the Dolphins for 215, the trophy was won.
