London - Arsenal have tied Nicklas Bendtner and Denilson to long-term contracts, the Premier League club said on Wednesday.

Brazilian Denilson, who joined from Sao Paulo in 2006, firmly established his place in the Arsenal midfield last season making more appearances than any other player at the club.

"We have a hugely talented group of players here, and I am convinced that with everyone working together we'll be able to achieve great things," 21-year-old Denilson told the club website.

Danish international striker Bendtner, also 21, scored 15 goals in all competitions last season and was second in Arsenal appearances behind Denilson.

The club did not state the length of either contract. - Reuters
