A wife lured her husband into woodland on the promise of drug-fuelled sex then slit his throat and left him for dead so she could meet her internet lover, a court heard on Tuesday.
Joanne Hale gave husband, Peter, a natural aphrodisiac called "horny goat weed" before she blindfolded him and led him into nearby woods.
The pair kissed, cuddled and "rolled about on the leaves" as part of a "playful game" to act out Hale's sexual fantasy.
But the 39-year-old then straddled Peter as he lay face-down and slit his throat with a knife, leaving a 11,4cm wound.
She then plunged the blade into his neck and chest several times, a jury was told.

Hale left the 43-year-old for dead when she was disturbed by a passerby and drove to a nearby railway station to meet a man she met on the internet for the first time.
Police arrested the woman when she returned to the marital home in Stapleton, Bristol, and she was charged with attempted murder and wounding with intent to cause GBH.
Bristol Crown Court heard the incident happened on December 27 last year as the couple, who had been married for nine years, enjoyed the Christmas holidays.
They were watching TV when Hale suggested her husband take the sex drug.
Mr Hale told the jury: "I think both of us discussed how to prepare it. Jo said it was quite unpalatable and I said I would like a drink with it.
"I think, probably, a migraine cap was put on my head; it was just a kind of sexual game. I enjoyed the game but I lifted it up because I want to see."
At about 6pm they left their home and walked to Stoke Park in the dark.
Peter said: "We went through the kissing gates then on the cobbled path. I felt absolutely fine.
"Jo didn't like it around there; she believes in spiritual things, the paranormal, and she was getting bad vibes from it."
He said he believed a sexual act was about to take place because it was his wife's fantasy which they had never acted out.
