Washington - United States President Barack Obama is constantly seeking ways to improve job creation, and the best way to tackle the country's worsened budget position is to deliver robust growth, the White House said on Tuesday.
"As we've seen the beginnings of economic growth, we have to make sure that we are looking at and evaluating all ideas for creating a better environment for creating jobs," White House spokesperson Robert Gibbs told a daily press briefing.
Some economists argue the White House will need to deliver a second government spending package, on top of a $787-billion emergency fiscal bill, in order to ensure an economic upswing maintains momentum.

Others, worried by record US budget deficits, say this would do more harm than good by burying the country in debt.
Gibbs stressed that growth was Obama's first goal.
"The most important way in dealing with our federal deficit right now is to get our economy moving. That is what the economic team is focused on, and that will have the most impact in the short term on that budget deficit," he said. - Reuters
