5.45pm: Good evening all and welcome to the Wanderers, which has now been given an extra name in the form of new sponsors "Bidvest", for the Standard Bank International Pro20 match between South Africa and England. South African will "bid" (Afrikaans for prayer for all foreign surfers and people in Cape Town) a lot this weekend as the Springboks take on France tonight and Bafana host Japan in PE. Still, I'd rather be at the Wanderers on a sultry Joburg night watching the first match of what promises to be a cracker of a series between South Africa A and South Africa B. Boy, is that joke getting old...

Graeme Smith has won the toss, which usually means little in 20-over smash and grabs. South Africa will bowl first.

The teams are thus:
South Africa: Graeme Smith, Loots Bosman, AB de Villiers, JP Duminy, Albie Morkel, Mark Boucher, Ryan McLaren, Roelof van der Merwe, Johan Botha, Dale Steyn, Charl Langeveldt

England: Alastair Cook, Joe Denly, Jonathan Trott, Paul Collingwood, Eoin Morgan, Matt Prior, Luke Wright, Tim Bresnan, Graeme Swann, Sajid Mahmood, James Anderson

Nice to see Langers back in the South African team after being out for ages. Good man, great death bowler. South Africa look a tasty side all round, actually. The Poms look pretty strong, too. Nice to see Jonathan Trott playing in South Africa again, too.
Wicket! Denly lbw Langeveldt 0 (0.1 overs) England 0/1 How is that for a return to the international cricket! So much for a death bowler! Denly was stone dead as the ball pitched middle and leg and screamed back in. Great start for South Africa and even better for Langers. His next ball was a big bouncer to Trott, who got some boos as he walked in. The Little General - Brian Jerling - gives England their first runs, an extra.
