Singapore - South Africa will play Argentina in the final of the IRB Singapore Sevens after easily beating France 24-0 in the semifinal on Sunday.
Argentina earlier edged out Samoa 7-0 in a match played in a monsoon downpour.
Captain Marc de Marigny got his team's crucial first try after barging over from a short distance after four minutes against the French, who earlier beat top seeds New Zealand to advance to the semis.
France looked dangerous on the break, but it was the boys in green who had the lead at the break.

The South Africans were without star striker Fabian Juries, but is was defence that won this one for De Marigny's crew.

One of the outstanding tacklers in that effort, Kabamba Floors, extended the lead in the second half after a great run by Stokolo Sticks and when Akhona Ndungane scored at the death, they had the game won by a handsome 24-0 margin.
South Africa last made the final in the opening IRB tournament in Dubai, which they won. The last time they played Argentina in the series, they walloped them 50-0 in pool play during the Wellington tournament.
But since then the Pumas have upped their effort and will play in their third consecutive final of the IRB series. - Sapa
