A gay music teacher and organist fired by a Pretoria NG Kerk has found work again, with a different branch of the same church in the Eastern Cape, according to Sunday's Rapport.

Johan Strydom was approached by the NG Kerk in Kareedouw after its congregation and preacher, Dr Kobus Bohnen, learnt Strydom was living in Jeffreys Bay.

The Moreleta Park church decided not to appeal the high court's ruling, including in its reasons that "the fundamental right of the church to freely believe in the Bible was not violated". - Sapa
