Police will investigate whether 20 pornographic DVDs confiscated at Camp David, an exclusive men's club in Pretoria, contained child pornography, spokesperson Inspector Katlego Mogale said on Wednesday.

A raid took place at Camp David in Alphen Park on Tuesday.

Beeld reported that the venue, named after the United States' president's retreat, was a gay bar where patrons stripped upon entry.

"We shall look into whether they are allowed to operate as they are doing," said Mogale.

She said police also raided the Carafa restaurant in the city and found it operating without a liquor licence for which the business paid a R1 500 fine. - Sapa
