Police believe robbery could be the motive for the murder of a woman in Parklands.

Andiswa Mpumza, 27, was found murdered in her apartment in Parklands, said the police through spokesperson Bernadine Steyn.

"The deceased was found partially clothed on the bedroom floor and had several stab wounds to her neck," she said.

Steyn said there was no sign of forced entry to the flat. However, two cellphones, a TV decoder, a DVD player and a set of keys were missing, leading police to suspect robbery as the motive.

No suspects have been identified yet. - Staff Writer
