Kite surfer Roberto Snyman did not expect the return of the kite board he lost two weeks ago. But on Thursday it was found 50km from Bloubergstrand where he had lost it.

Helicopter pilot Nicholas Reyneke found it: "I was flying along the west coast when I spotted a board on the beach at Ysterfontein. I reported it to several kite surfing shops... finally I... found the owner."

Reyneke advised kite surfers: "Tag your gear with name, address and telephone number."
