 Man dies in hit-and-run accident

One man was killed when he was hit by a car on the M13 Pinetown bound off-ramp near the N3 interchange this evening.

While what transpired is not know, it is thought that the man had been walking along the road towards Pinetown when he was struck by an unknown vehicle. The pedestrian was thrown forward on impact and was found in the roadway.

He was declared dead by Netcare911 Paramedics at the scene. He died as result of his polytraumatic injuries.

The driver of the car which fled the scene is being sought by police. - Netcare 911
