A 90-year-old woman was raped at her home in Tsomo, Eastern Cape police said on Friday.

Captain Zamikaya Qinisile said at 7.21pm on Wednesday, an unknown number of men broke down the door to the woman's house in the Qutsa area near Queenstown.

The men then gang-raped the old woman and fled.

Police were investigating a case of rape.

No arrests have been made, Qinisile said. - Sapa
