A Chinese man found guilty of murdering a fellow national during a squabble at Emperor's Palace casino in 2007 was sentenced to 20 years for the killing by the High Court in Johannesburg on Friday.

A police spokesman, Captain Jethro Mtshali, said Chaung Li, 38, had also received an additional four years in jail for possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition.

Li shot and killed Wu Chen at close range on December 21, 2007, after the two had an argument over money in the casino.

After the argument started Li left the building and took a firearm from his vehicle. He forced his way past security before gunning Chen down in full view of patrons and workers. - Sapa

bring back the death penalty... he/she who kills must be killed, steal and loose your hands, rape and loose you genitalia . That is the only way we going to fix the problem in our country, by taking away the tools they use to do the crime.

why is everything always a race issue in this country? Can't we just move on.

24 Years in jail - - - what a joke, he will probably be free in about 4 to 5 years. Our justice system "sucks". Can't we have a first world justice system at least though we are a third world country.. What would happen to one of us if we killed someone in China? The death penalty for certain..
