Najwa Petersen has consulted an advocate who secured an aquittal for another woman accused of hiring a hitman to kill her husband.
Petroleen de Wet was found not guilty of murder after the court found that the State had proven only that she intended for her husband to be injured, not killed.
Now Petersen, who is accused of hiring hitmen to kill music legend Taliep Petersen, may ask the advocate, Klaus von Lieres und Wilkau, to take over her case too.
The trial of Petersen, Abdoer Raasiet Emjedi, Waheed Hassan and Jefferson Tion Snyders is supposed to start this morning but is likely to be postponed because Petersen fired her previous legal representatives.

It emerged in court on Friday that the firm Mathewson Gess Attorneys has been approached to conduct her defence and that Von Lieres und Wilkau may be briefed to represent her.
This would be Petersen's third team of legal representatives since her arrest on June 18.
The first, attorney Norman Snitcher and advocate Craig Webster, withdrew after failing to get her out on bail. The second, attorney John Riley and advocate Herbert Raubenheimer SC, withdrew on Friday, after an appeal against the refusal of bail was dismissed.
Judge Siraj Desai warned her to obtain new legal representation soon and said he would not allow the matter to be delayed any longer. He reminded her that her co-accused were in custody and that there were 50 State witnesses on standby. If she could not find another lawyer, she would have to look at alternatives, including the Legal Aid Board.
