Driver testing centres around Johannesburg were open for business on Thursday following closures the previous day, metro police said.
"It appears the situation is back to normal today [Thursday] because I have not heard anything," said Senior Superintendent Wayne Minnaar.
Testing stations in Midrand, Randburg, Langlaagte and Marlboro were closed on Wednesday when over 300 metro police staff abandoned their posts to support colleagues facing disciplinary action.
The 37 officers were facing disciplinary action for their alleged involvement in blockading major roads in the city centre in a protest for wage increases and against nepotism in the department the previous year. - Sapa
