Fifteen people were injured in three accidents in Kloof, Durban and Pietermaritzburg on Thursday morning, KwaZulu-Natal emergency services said.

"Five people were injured when a taxi collided head-on with a car on Abrey road near the M13 in Kloof," said Netcare 911's Jeff Wicks.

It was believed that the driver of the light motor vehicle was turning into the driveway of a church when a taxi slammed into his vehicle, said Wicks.

In another accident six people were injured when two taxis and a light motor vehicle collided on the intersection of Edwin Swales drive and Recreation road, said Wicks.

In the third accident on Allendale Drive and Old Greytown road in Pietermaritzburg, one person was seriously injured and three people sustained minor injuries when two taxis collided.
