Andorra La Vella - A bridge collapse in Andorra on Saturday killed at least two workers, left seven badly hurt and two more feared buried under the rubble, rescue services and other sources said.

Some 20 metres of the concrete structure of the road bridge, which was under construction, collapsed near the Dos Valires tunnel in the Massana valley in the northwest of the principality sandwiched between France and Spain.

The Portuguese foreign ministry said at least one of the dead was a Portuguese citizen.

Eleven men were swept away in a mass of concrete and steel scaffolding when the accident happened.

Six were rushed to hospital and rescue services tried to free a seventh man stuck in the rubble since the accident happened, just before midday.
