Moscow - The death toll from a suicide blast outside a Moscow subway station rose to 11 on Wednesday, after two people died from their wounds in hospital, the ITAR-TASS news agency reported.
Late on Tuesday a female suicide bomber blew herself up outside a busy Moscow underground station, in an attack claimed by a group that said it downed two planes in Russia last week.
Nine people were killed immediately and 51 injured in the blast, which caused scenes of carnage in the late evening rush Tuesday, authorities said earlier on Wednesday.
Two men died from their wounds later on Wednesday in a Moscow hospital, while 38 people, including two children, are still in hospital in the Russian capital ITAR-TASS said.

Nine people were killed immediately and 51 injured in the blast The prosecutor's office had earlier announced that the body of five victims had so far been identified.
Officials had been quick to say the metro attack was carried out by a female suicide bomber who was originally headed inside the subway but turned around after she say police checking documents, eventually blowing herself up outside.
The blast was claimed by the same group that said it was responsible for the downing of two passenger jets on August 25 that had left all 90 people on board dead.
