Police on Monday said The Sun tabloid reported it was approached by two men trying to sell photos of the couple on the island of Mustique.
Scotland Yard said the newspaper informed police, and a man was arrested on suspicion of theft and handling stolen goods.
A spokesperson said: "A 25-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of theft from a car and handling stolen goods.
"He was taken to a London police station and bailed to return on a date later this month."

The two men, who called themselves George and John, had demanded about R675 000 for the pictures, the newspaper reported.
The pair claimed they had found the photos in a gutter in London.
The camera is thought to have been stolen from Middleton's younger sister, Pippa, in London.
The photos show the prince, second-in-line to the throne, and a bikini-clad Middleton, both 26, kissing and cuddling in a pool and Middleton doing yoga-type exercises on the beach. - Sapa-AFP
