London - European lottery officials say two British ticket holders have shared a jackpot of £90-million (about R1-billion) - the largest lottery prizes ever paid out in the United Kingdom.
Lottery organiser Camelot says two tickets in Friday's EuroMillions competition both won about £45,5-million each.
"These two ticket holders have just banked the largest lottery prizes ever paid out in the country," Camelot said Saturday.
The winners have yet to come forward.
Britain's previous record win came in 2007, when a postal worker won £35-million.
In May, an unnamed Spanish winner claimed £126-million, the largest-ever EuroMillions jackpot.
