Copenhagen - A 51-year-old judge was sentenced on Monday to five months in jail for possessing and distributing 93 movies and 664 photos featuring child pornography.
Three of the five months in jail would be suspended if Joergen Als Andersen undergoes a two-year psychological and sexological treatment, according to the court ruling.
Last week, Als Andersen confessed before the criminal court in Lyngby, north of Copenhagen, that he had downloaded the illegal pictures at home, and said it was like an addiction akin to alcohol or gambling for him.
"Deep down I was hoping that someone would stop me," Als Andersen told the court on November 22. "I was glad it happened."
