A Parow man found guilty of cruelty to animals after setting his pitbull alight has been flouting his sentencing conditions, according to the SPCA's Allan Perrins.
Raymond Koegelenberg was sentenced to 400 hours of community service after he admitted to setting his pitbull alight.
He has been declared unfit to own animals for 15 years, while ownership of his two other pets has been passed to the SPCA.
He admitted in an affidavit that he had set the kennel alight to punish his dog, Tammy, for jumping a fence to the neighbour's premises.
However, the SPCA alleges that he has not only failed to pay a fine for the offence but also keeps dogs in violation of his conviction.
